This Privacy Policy applies to the information and data collected by Manta when you interact with us on our websites, or through other channels (for example, communicating with us or attending one of our events), and when you use our products and services. “Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, receive, use, store, transfer and process your Personal Data and rights with respect to your Personal Data, including your rights of access and correction of your Personal Data. If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy, you should not use our website or our products and services. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to Manta include Manta Software Inc., Manta Tools s.r.o., Jamanta Software, Sociedade Unipessoal Lda, Manta Software Ireland Limited, and Manta Software UK Limited.   

We update this Privacy Policy from time to time and we encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice by sending you a notification through the Manta Portal. The Manta Portal is a separate website designed to give our current customers access to additional services and information regarding Manta. It is a private and secure platform that requires an authorized login.

Personal Data We Collect

When You Visit Our Websites

We do not collect any Personal Data about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. We collect Personal Data from you when you submit web forms or interact with our websites, for example requesting a demo, signing up for a webinar, or registering to be part of our MANTA Portal. In those instances, we may ask for your email address, first and last name, job title, and other similar business contact information. You are free to explore some of our websites without providing any Personal Data about yourself. Manta may keep track of the websites and pages our users visit within Manta, in order to determine which Manta services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content to users of our websites. 

When You Use the Product or Service

Log Files

When you interact with our support team, we may request log files to better improve our support response. While we do not require Personal Data to be included with log files provided to us, we may receive Personal Data if you provide it to us. 

 

How We Use Your Personal Data

We use personal information for the following purposes or as otherwise described at the time of collection:

To provide our Services. We use personal information to operate, maintain, and provide you with our Services. In particular, we use personal information to perform our contractual obligations under our terms of service. 

To communicate with you about our Services. It is in our legitimate business interests to use personal information to respond to your requests, provide customer support, and communicate with you about our Services, including by sending announcements, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.

To improve, monitor, personalize, and protect our Services. It is in our legitimate business interests to improve and keep our Services safe for our users, which includes:

  • Troubleshooting, testing and researching, and keeping the Services secure; and

For compliance and protection. We may use personal information to comply with legal obligations,  and it is in our legitimate business interests to enforce our terms of service and to defend our family of companies against legal claims or disputes, including to:

  • Protect our, your or others’ rights, privacy, safety, or property (including by making and defending legal claims);
  • Audit our internal processes for compliance with legal and contractual requirements and internal policies;
  • Enforce the terms and conditions that govern the Services;
  • Prevent, identify, investigate, and deter fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical, or illegal activity, including cyberattacks and identity theft; and

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by Manta. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain the quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding the use of the Manta website.

Use of Cookies

The Manta websites may use “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize Manta pages, or register for the Manta Portal, a cookie helps MANTA to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your information, such as names, addresses, and so on. When you return to the same MANTA website, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the MANTA features that you customized.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies. but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the MANTA services or websites you visit. 

We may use both “session” cookies and “persistent” cookies on the website.  We will use the session cookies to keep track of you while you navigate the website and persistent cookies to enable our website to recognize you when you visit our website again. Session cookies will be deleted from your computer when you close your browser. Persistent cookies will remain stored on your computer until deleted, or until they reach a specified expiration date. 

We also may use Google Analytics to analyze the use of MANTA’s websites. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users’ computers. The information generated regarding our website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google will store this information.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

MANTA may share data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, or provide customer support. All such third parties are prohibited from using your Personal Data except to provide these services to MANTA, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

MANTA may disclose your Personal Data, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on MANTA or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of MANTA; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of MANTA, or the public.

MANTA secures your Personal Data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We strive to take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or alteration of your Personal Data. International Data Transfers

Right to Deletion

Subject to certain exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

E-mail Communications

From time to time, MANTA may contact you via email for the purpose of providing announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, or other general communication. In order to improve our products or services, we may receive a notification when you open an email from MANTA or click on a link therein.

If you would like to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications via email from MANTA, you may opt-out of such communications by clicking on the “UNSUBSCRIBE” button on any of our email communications as well as by contacting us directly using our live chat, or by contacting MANTA in accordance with Section 8 above

 

Your Rights

You may instruct us to provide you with access to any personal data we process about you. We may withhold such Personal Data to the extent permitted by law.

Personal information requests. We also offer you choices that affect how we handle the personal information that we control. Depending on your location and the nature of your interactions with our Services, you may request the following in relation to personal information:
